Artistic and Psychoanalytic Exploration of Emptiness
An Artistic and Psychoanalytic Exploration of Emptiness by
Margot Olejniczak, a Polish Swiss artist living in Zurich, and Naoko Nakamura, an Analytical Psychologist who has been exploring ‘Emptiness’ as understood in Shintoism
Margot Olejniczak is a Polish Swiss artist living in Zurich. Margot has been studying the Sumi-e Art in Tokyo in the class of famous masters, such as Tohun Kobayashi and Ilan Yanizky. Margot's ink paintings have received acclaim and been awarded by the Special Award in the Tokyo National Art Centre, followed by a Special Award in the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum during Le Salon Blanc -The International Exhibition of Contemporary Art. Margot's work on the Power of Emptiness is exhibited at Stillpoint Spaces, Zurich.
Naoko Nakamura is an Analytical Psychologist who has been exploring ‘Emptiness’ as understood in Japanese traditional religion, Shintoism, and exploring its equivalence in psychoanalytic literature and practice.
Margot and Naoko will be conversing in a free associative way about emptiness inviting us to partake in an exploration where the stakes are manifold: artistic, spiritual, existential, psychological.
Stillpoint events aim to provide opportunities for curious individuals from all walks of life to engage, in a friendly context, with matters that enable them to explore interior (psychological) landscapes.
